January Empties

Hello Gorgeous

So for a very long time I used to read blogs thinking I would love to do empty posts. For me doing a post on my empty products means that I can actually start keeping track of what I am using up and start getting through products.

I endevour to make changes in my life this year and one of them is to actually finish products before I get a replacement.

So my empties will not only be beauty but anything else too :)

1. Daily essentials Nivea Visage Cream

This did the job. I would not say it's amazing but I could possibly re-purchase this if i never foud any other cream. (like that's going to happen ha)

2. Royal Doultan Candle

My mum gave me this candle ages ago. It was an aromatherapy one. Absolutely loved this as it burnt flat without leaving anything behind. I will miss you dearly.

3. Bio Oil

I have had this for ages. It did nothing for me at all, so it would be useful to know if any of you have had a good experience with it?

4. Yankee Candle in Baby Powder

I always have a Yankee Candle on the go and this was in Baby Powder. Yumm

5. No7 Eye Makeup Remover

I always pick up something random from No7 with the vouchers they give. I actually liked this and would get it again. You have to shake it like mad to mix it all up, but overall a big thumbs up from me.

6. Lancome Genefique Eye Cream

This was a sample when I bought something from Lancome ages ago. Once again it did nothing for me and as I am getting older I seriously am on the hunt for an eye cream. Any suggestions?

That's me done for now.

Stay good

Primark Haul....

Hello Gorgeous

How are you today? is it just me or am I in some sort of a time warp because I really don't get that time can fly this quick.

Anywho weirdness aside I bring to you my recent purchases from good ol' Primarni.

This time I went a bit crazy on the makeup bags, but to be honest look at them!! they are so uber cute.

£3 Makeup Bag with two compartments. Primark

The above bag is now used as my everyday makeup bag. As well as being bloody amazing it has a separate compartment at the bottom which is perffff for my everyday brushes. It's so usefull to have something like this as I travel alot and it just means I can take bare essentials on my travels and have the confidence that I am not going to lose something because it's all in one case :). Happy days...

£3 Makeup case Primark

So I picked up the cutest makeup bag, I absolutely love cute and kitsch sort of things (if you know what I mean). What attracted me to this was the colour and dots. This comes in a kind of suede material. It's not ideal when makeup is going to go in it as I am certain at some point it will get grubby but who cares, it was cheap as chips and I think it's marvellous.

I absolutely j'adore this makeup bag. So it is the largest of all three and comes in the moswt amazing material. Like a kind of padded foam. It feels incredibly hard wearing and at the moment I have filled it up to the brim with my bronzers only. I love me some dots. I don't remember the price but if I find the reciept  I will update.

Shoes £6: Primark

These shoes are a bargain, but ended up being too big at a size 6. I need to go back to get a size 5. They were totally made for me.

I picked up this laptop case to put my paper work in for work. It's got a separate pouch for what i will use for reciepts and stationary and the main I use for my paper work. I love it and it looks super fashionable.

 Primark Converse shoes: £12

These converse like shoes caught my eye. They are not what I normally go for but the bling on them sold me and for £12 you can't really go wrong.

So this was my little Primark haul. I hope you liked...

Stay Good

NOTD: Revlon's Bewitching

Hello Gorgeous

I love nail polish. Enough said on this matter. I bought a Revlon nailpolish from BOOT's the other day and by gosh it is amaze. Well in my eyes any way.

REVLON: Bewitching

The colour is the perfect cherry red and looks awesome under different lighting. I am a complete fan of glossy polishes so it certainly ticks that box too.

I applied two coats and didn't get a chance to apply a top coat. I took the pictures a day after applying it so I do feel that a top coat is neccessary to make it last longer.

You can buy Revlon's 'Bewitching' nail polish from here.

I think I have a thing for Revlon polishes.

Stay good

    Body Mists/Sprays: PART 3. Impulse

    Hello Gorgeous

So this is Part 3 of my Body mist/Spray series. I still can't get over how much I actually beauty hoard. No wonder I never finish products up. But I must say that this year I have turned over a new leaf and do not buy things unless I need them (apart from lipsticks, shoes, handbags and new releases...).

    Impulse Trio

    True Love
    Into Glamour
    Very Pink

So for Christmas I recieved this cute little trio of Impulse Body Sprays. I mean Impulse have been around for absolutely ages and most people know of the brand. They come in an array of scents and I have used these ever since I can remember. I remember when I was at school it would be cool to have a bottle of Impulse or Charlie on the go and now it's just second nature to have a few bottles on the go.

The above sprays can be bought individually but I find that these are so handy for the handbag. In it goes and it doesn't weigh it down at all.

I am not going to link where you can get these from as absolutely every store I go to has these. Boots, Superdrug, Savers, Tesco, Sainsburys, Asda to name a few.

What I would say is I would never pay more than £1 for them as they are always on special offer, somewhere or the other.

    Stay Good

MUA Trio Eyeshadows: What I think... Review and swatches

    Hello Gorgeous

So this week my blog has been a little bit neglected but I found that this week has just been so hectic. Anyway on this beautiful Sunday with the sun shining in my office I can actually do what makes me happy and that's write whoop whoop.

    MUA Trio Eyeshadows - £2.50

So I picked up these trios absolutely ages ago but felt that these deserved their own blog post. I absolutely love these bad boys.

What I think: Colour payoff is brilliant, they last amazingly (with a primer underneath), all of the colours in the trios are usable on their own or together or even as an eyeliner.

Do I recommend these: YES for the price of £2.50 you can't go wrong. As Karla Powell says you can use the lightest shade as a highlighter and believe me they are gorg.

Above is Chocolate Box. Excuse the veiny arm but some things I just can't control such as my veins popping out when I go to take a click....
I adore this trio, the colours are amaze. I would say that these eyeshadows are a little bit chalky however who cares when you got a blending brush and eye primer on. The peachy shade on this is probably my most used, because it's most wearable.

As the name suggests this is the Eden trio. I absolutely adore these green shades. Did you know that green compliments brown eyes? Well they certainly do as when I wore these i got a fare few compliments. The lightest shade is the perfect under brow and highlighter shade. MUA should make this as a single as it reflects the light perfectly.

This is last of my current trio collection and I must say is probably my most used simply because i am a sucker for neutrals. However the darkest shade in this trio is amaze. As you can see from the swatch it has a red/marron kind of undertone and looks flippin amazing. I used this shade for a full on smoky eye and i must admit looks like a high end eyeshadow if used correctly.

For some reason I could only find EDEN on the MUA website however my local Superdrug still has the others.

    Click here to get yours.

So this is my little rave on some super cheap super amazing eyeshadows. Hope you enjoyed.

    Stay Good

Have you got any other trios that I have not shared? if so which ones and please let me know :)

Skin Saviours for the Winter months.... Garnier Ultimate Beauty Oil

    Hello Gorgeous

Lets not beat around the bush, it's cold we all know that, but at this time of year it can be quite difficult to keep up with what our skin is telling us. I don't know about you but my skin suffers in the cold due to lack of moisture. As I have vowed myself to so many things this year, moisturising and looking after my skin is one of them. I must admit I try out anything and everything hence I am addicted to beauty. But on a serious note I have a bit of a collection of skin moisterisers, and you can see below i have picked out a handful. Sorry about the randomness of the picture but i nearly tripped up taking it...

    GARNIER Ultimate Beauty Oil £7.99

'Ultimate Beauty Oil is a perfecting oil, 5 times more concentrated in nutrients than our regular body lotion. Enriched with 4 precious oils - Argan, Macademia, Almond & Rose - its blissfully fragranced formula will visibly beautify your skin. Skin looks illuminated: Immediately radiant, satin-like. Skin is nourished with moisture: Instantly feels smoother and softer. Skin looks perfected: Beautiful looking and irresistably soft.'

As I do not like long post's I will stick with the one that I love at the moment. I picked up this Garnier Beautifying oil from Superdrug after reading a post by Laura at 'Secret Diary of a Fashion Journalist'. This is the best body oil i have come across, it is so lightly scented, and smells kind of sweet and almondly without being over powering. It absorbs very quickly into the skin and does not leave a greasy finsih. This stuff will be uhhh-maazing in the summer when a bit more skin will be on show. I recommend this you can pick it up from here:

Body Mist's : Part 2... The Body Shop

    Hello Gorgeous

So finally the much anticipated snow has arrived and it has made me feel all snuggly until I realised it's Friday morning and not Saturday. Hence I thought a quick blog post on my Body Mist series was due. Body Shop Body mists are uhhh-mazing. Enough said. Thank you bye...

BodyShop Body Mist: Moringa and Stawberry

     £7.50 100ml BodyShop

I picked these two up last year and use them frantically and I am still no where half empty. They come in a gorgeous frosted glass bottle and look so pretty and dainty on my dressing table. There are nine Body Mists available and for the sake of my bank account I picked up two.

This is what the BodyShop say about there Strawberry Mist:

    Product description:

'Our Strawberry takes on a fresh new form. Spray this light scented body mist all over your body for a gentle burst of sweet fruitiness. It’s irresistible.
    •Sweet strawberry fragrance
    •Light and fresh
    •Use all over body
    •Contains strawberry extract'

And this is exactly what it is. A gorgeous Strawberry and sweet mist that makes you feel juicy :) You can pick it up from here for £7.50

    http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/fragrance/body-mists/strawberry-body-mist.aspx

MY FAVOURITE out of the two has to be the Moringa Body Mist. It's the most unusual smell but is such a good cross between floral and sweet. It makes me feel mmmmmm after i get out of the shower and spray this.

This is what the Body Shop say:

    Product description:

' Our Moringa takes on a fresh new form. Spray this light scented body mist all over your body for a gentle burst of delicate florals.' It’s irresistible.

    •White floral fragrance
    •Light and fresh
    •Use all over body
    •Contains moringa extract

Body Spray/Mist's: Part 1 : SOAP and GLORY

    Hi Gorgeous

So every couple of weeks or every week I switch around my makeup and beauty regimes just so that I can actually use stuff rather than just being an obsessional hoarder. A few days ago I decided to re-organise a drawer and much to my surprise I realised I do have a thing for body sprays. Now I spend a helva lot on fragrances and did not realise that I adore Body sprays too. So this is part one.

    Soap & Glory Body Mist's : £6.50 each Boots

     Glam-A-Lot
    Girligo
    Mist You MADLY
I have heard alot about these body mist's on the blogosphere and finally got all three in a set during Christmas. I wanted to try out Mist you Madly however the offer was irresistable at the time, 3 for £10. My favourite at the moment has to be Mist you Madly.

    This is what Boots say:

'Soap & Glory Mist You Madly Mini Body Spray is a flirty, floral, fragrant body spray featuring notes of bergamot and blackcurrant, magnolia, freesia, vanilla and musk.'

They are totally right. I have not used the other two much however I am sure I will.

Try them for yourself here http://www.boots.com/en/Soap-Glory™-Mist-You-Madly™-Mini-Body-Spray-100ml_1114197/

I do find in the Winter I am actually not spraying the body spray on my body but all over my clothes because that's just stupid right??

    What's your favourite Body Spray?

    My World......

    Hi Gorgeous

As the name states on the blog this is my slice of the web where I talk about things that are close to me and my heart, thus being beauty and lifestyle. As you grow up life seems to get more and more complicated. Last year for me some people would say was a disaster but I would say it was a journey that helped me move on and develop my inner sense. I am true to myself, I love myself and I will always help people as I know what it is like being on your own when all you need is someone there. I will be doing rambly posts from time to time, if you are not into them them skip over to the next post :)

    Primark Haul......

    Hi Gorgeous

So last week I went over to Primark to see what the situation was. I always have a love/hate relationship with good ol' Primarni but I really am not impressed with the prices any more. I can pretty much pick up similar priced goods at other high street stores. HOWEVER you can still pick up a bargain. It was a boring shop but I managed to picked up things that I needed and wanted so came home a happy bunny :)

Cotton pads: Needed them and these were a bargain.
    Cotton Pads: £1 for 160
    9 Pairs of studs £1.50

I thought for the price these studs were amazeballs. I find that I am having days that I just want a plain stud and these will do the job perfectly.

    Heart Necklace £1.50

How can you not immediately love this necklace. It's so dainty and just a classic little gem to have. I have been wearing this non stop and it makes me feel really girly. I loves :)

So that was it. Short and simple but be aware there will be a clothes haulage soon, I just did'nt get the time to pick them up in one trip.

    Stay good
